Thesis Abstract

This project aims to explore the potential of genomic selection in enhancing crop adaptation to the challenges posed by climate change. The study will utilize genomic and bioinformatic tools to identify genetic markers associated with traits related to climate resilience, such as drought tolerance, heat stress resistance, and disease resilience. Through a combination of genotyping, phenotyping, and predictive modeling, the project seeks to develop genomic selection strategies for breeding climate-resilient crop varieties. The findings of this research will contribute to the development of improved breeding methodologies for enhancing crop adaptation to changing climatic conditions.
