Thesis Abstract

<p> Rapid urbanization poses significant challenges to agricultural land use and food security. This project aims to investigate the effects of urbanization on crop land use patterns, agricultural productivity, and food security. The study will involve spatial analysis and remote sensing techniques to assess changes in land use and land cover associated with urban expansion. Additionally, the project will evaluate the impact of urbanization on agricultural productivity, crop diversity, and access to food in peri-urban areas. The findings of this research will contribute to a better understanding of the dynamics between urbanization, crop land use, and food security, and provide insights for sustainable urban planning and agricultural development. <br></p>
