Thesis Abstract

<p> This project aims to investigate the potential benefits of biochar application in enhancing soil fertility and improving crop productivity. Biochar, a carbon-rich material produced from the pyrolysis of organic biomass, has been shown to have positive effects on soil structure, nutrient retention, and microbial activity. The project will evaluate the impact of biochar amendments on soil properties such as pH, nutrient availability, water retention, and microbial diversity. Field trials and greenhouse experiments will be conducted to assess the effects of biochar on the growth, yield, and nutrient content of selected crop species. The findings of this study will contribute to our understanding of the agronomic and environmental implications of biochar use in agricultural systems <br></p>
