Thesis Abstract

Abstract
The rapid growth of urbanization has led to increased challenges in managing traffic flow efficiently in smart cities. To address this issue, this thesis presents the design and implementation of an Intelligent Traffic Management System utilizing the Internet of Things (IoT) and Machine Learning technologies. The aim of this research is to develop a system that can analyze real-time traffic data, predict traffic congestion, and optimize traffic flow in smart cities. The thesis begins with an introduction that provides an overview of the project, followed by the background of the study, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the thesis, and definition of terms. Chapter Two comprises a comprehensive literature review on topics related to traffic management systems, IoT, Machine Learning, and smart city infrastructure.
