Abstract
This thesis investigates the impact of nonverbal communication on interpersonal relationships. Nonverbal communication plays a crucial role in human interaction, influencing how individuals perceive and relate to each other. The study aims to explore the various aspects of nonverbal communication, such as body language, facial expressions, gestures, and tone of voice, and how these elements contribute to the formation and maintenance of interpersonal relationships. Through a comprehensive literature review, this research examines existing theories and studies on nonverbal communication and its effects on relationship dynamics. Chapter One provides an introduction to the research topic, outlining the background of the study, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, and structure of the thesis. The chapter also defines key terms related to nonverbal communication and interpersonal relationships. Chapter Two consists of a detailed literature review that synthesizes existing research on nonverbal communication and its impact on interpersonal relationships. The review covers ten key areas, including the importance of nonverbal cues in communication, cultural variations in nonverbal behavior, and the role of nonverbal communication in conflict resolution.
