Abstract
This thesis explores the impact of co-operative enterprises on local economic development. The study aims to analyze how co-operatives contribute to the economic growth and sustainability of local communities. The research is motivated by the increasing recognition of co-operatives as key drivers of economic development, especially at the local level. Through a comprehensive literature review, this study examines the theoretical foundations and empirical evidence surrounding the role of co-operatives in fostering economic development. The methodology chapter details the research design, data collection methods, and analysis techniques employed in this study. The research methodology includes both qualitative and quantitative approaches to provide a holistic understanding of the impact of co-operative enterprises on local economic development. The findings chapter presents the results of the data analysis, highlighting the various ways in which co-operatives contribute to local economic growth, job creation, poverty reduction, and community empowerment.
