This thesis investigates the impact of information technology on co-operative performance in developing countries. With the increasing importance of co-operatives in economic development and poverty alleviation, understanding how information technology influences their performance is crucial. The study focuses on exploring how the adoption and utilization of information technology can enhance the efficiency, effectiveness, and overall success of co-operatives in developing countries. The research employs a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative analysis of data from co-operatives with qualitative insights from key stakeholders. Chapter One provides an introduction to the research topic, outlining the background, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the thesis, and definition of key terms. Chapter Two presents a comprehensive literature review covering ten key areas related to information technology and co-operative management in developing countries. This chapter synthesizes existing research, theoretical frameworks, and empirical evidence to provide a solid foundation for the study. Chapter Three details the research methodology, including research design, data collection methods, sampling techniques, data analysis procedures, ethical considerations, and limitations of the study.
