Co-operative enterprises play a significant role in fostering sustainable development in rural communities. This thesis aims to assess the impact of co-operative enterprises on sustainable development in rural communities, focusing on key aspects such as economic growth, social inclusion, and environmental sustainability. The research employs a mixed-methods approach, incorporating both quantitative data analysis and qualitative case studies to provide a comprehensive understanding of the subject matter. The introduction provides a background to the study, outlining the importance of co-operative enterprises in rural development and highlighting the gaps in existing literature. The problem statement identifies the challenges faced by rural communities and the potential benefits that co-operatives can offer in addressing these challenges.
