This research project focuses on the analysis and design of sustainable low-cost housing structures in developing countries, with the aim of addressing the housing challenges faced by the urban poor. The study seeks to explore innovative construction methods, materials, and design strategies that can provide safe, affordable, and environmentally-friendly housing solutions. Chapter One provides an introduction to the research topic, presenting the background of the study, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the thesis, and definition of key terms. The chapter sets the stage for the research by highlighting the importance of sustainable low-cost housing in improving living conditions and promoting economic development in developing countries.
