Thesis Abstract

Abstract
Urbanization has led to increased impervious surfaces, which in turn have resulted in challenges related to stormwater management in residential areas. This research project focuses on the analysis and design of a sustainable urban drainage system for a residential area to address these challenges. The study aims to develop an innovative approach that integrates green infrastructure and modern engineering techniques to manage stormwater effectively while promoting environmental sustainability. The research begins with a comprehensive review of existing literature on urban drainage systems, sustainable practices, and relevant design methodologies. Through this review, various strategies and technologies for sustainable urban drainage systems are identified, providing a foundation for the subsequent analysis and design phases of the project. The methodology chapter outlines the research approach, data collection methods, and analytical tools used to assess the existing drainage system in the chosen residential area.
