The demand for affordable and sustainable housing solutions in urban areas has been on the rise due to rapid urbanization and population growth. This thesis focuses on the analysis and design of sustainable low-cost housing solutions for urban areas, aiming to address the housing needs of low-income populations while promoting environmental sustainability. The research methodology includes a comprehensive literature review, design analysis, and empirical data collection to evaluate the feasibility and effectiveness of sustainable low-cost housing solutions. Chapter One provides an introduction to the research topic, presenting the background of the study, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the thesis, and definition of key terms. The literature review in Chapter Two explores ten key aspects related to sustainable housing design, affordability, urban planning, building materials, energy efficiency, and community engagement, among others. Chapter Three details the research methodology, including the research design, data collection methods, sampling techniques, data analysis procedures, and ethical considerations.
