Thesis Abstract

<p> The building envelope, comprising the exterior walls, roof, and foundation, plays a critical role in energy efficiency, indoor comfort, and structural integrity. This project aims to investigate retrofitting strategies for improving the performance of existing building envelopes. The study will focus on enhancing thermal insulation, air tightness, moisture management, and durability while considering the economic feasibility and environmental impact of retrofit interventions. The findings will provide guidance for building owners and practitioners in upgrading the energy and environmental performance of aging building envelopes. <br></p>
