Total Quality Management (TQM) has been recognized as a crucial strategy for enhancing organizational performance and competitiveness. This thesis explores the implementation of TQM principles in Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) with a focus on understanding the challenges and opportunities faced by these businesses. The study aims to investigate the impact of TQM implementation on the operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and overall performance of SMEs. The research methodology involved a mixed-method approach, combining both quantitative and qualitative data collection techniques. A sample of SMEs was selected for the study, and data was collected through surveys, interviews, and observation. The findings revealed that while many SMEs recognize the importance of TQM, they often face challenges in implementing it effectively due to limited resources, lack of expertise, and resistance to change. The literature review section provides a comprehensive overview of existing theories and studies on TQM, highlighting its key principles and benefits. The research methodology section outlines the data collection process, sampling techniques, and data analysis methods used in the study.
