This thesis investigates the implementation of sustainable supply chain practices in the context of the retail industry through a comprehensive case study analysis. The study aims to explore how retail organizations can integrate sustainable practices into their supply chain operations and the impact of such initiatives on business performance and sustainability outcomes. The research adopts a qualitative case study approach, focusing on a specific retail company to provide in-depth insights into the challenges, strategies, and outcomes associated with the implementation of sustainable supply chain practices. The introduction sets the foundation by providing an overview of the significance of sustainability in the supply chain, particularly in the retail sector. The background of the study highlights the growing importance of sustainability practices in response to environmental concerns, regulatory requirements, and changing consumer preferences. The problem statement identifies the gaps and challenges faced by retail organizations in implementing sustainable supply chain practices effectively.
