The research project aims to investigate the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on small businesses in urban areas. The study will focus on understanding the challenges faced by small business owners as a result of the pandemic and the strategies they have adopted to survive and thrive in this challenging environment. A mixed-methods approach will be utilized, combining surveys and interviews to gather data from small business owners in various urban locations. The research will explore the financial implications of the pandemic on small businesses, including revenue losses, changes in consumer behavior, and access to financial support programs. Additionally, the study will examine the operational challenges faced by small businesses, such as supply chain disruptions, staffing issues, and adapting to new health and safety regulations. Furthermore, the research will investigate the psychological impact of the pandemic on small business owners, including stress, anxiety, and burnout. It will also explore the coping mechanisms and resilience strategies employed by small business owners to navigate through these challenging times. The findings of this research project will provide valuable insights into the specific challenges faced by small businesses in urban areas during the COVID-19 pandemic and the strategies they have employed to overcome these challenges.
