Abstract
The integration of sustainable building practices in urban development projects has become a critical area of focus in addressing the environmental, social, and economic challenges faced by rapidly growing urban areas. This thesis explores the various sustainable building practices that can be incorporated into urban development projects to promote long-term environmental sustainability and enhance the quality of life for urban residents. The study aims to investigate the current trends, challenges, and opportunities associated with the integration of sustainable building practices in urban development projects, with a focus on their impacts on energy efficiency, resource conservation, and community well-being. Chapter one provides an introduction to the research topic, presenting the background of the study, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the thesis, and definition of key terms. The literature review in chapter two examines ten key sustainable building practices that are commonly used in urban development projects, including green building design, energy-efficient technologies, waste management strategies, and sustainable transportation solutions. Chapter three outlines the research methodology employed in this study, detailing the research design, data collection methods, sampling techniques, and data analysis procedures.
