Thesis Abstract

<p> This project aims to investigate the role of plant secondary metabolites in plant-herbivore interactions. Plant secondary metabolites are chemical compounds produced by plants that are not directly involved in their growth and development. These compounds often play a crucial role in plant defense against herbivores. The project will involve studying the diversity and abundance of secondary metabolites in different plant species and their effects on herbivore behavior, feeding preferences, and performance. The findings will contribute to our understanding of the chemical ecology of plant-herbivore interactions and may have implications for pest management strategies. <br></p>
