Thesis Abstract

<p> This project aims to investigate the role of plant defense mechanisms in response to herbivory. Herbivory is a common challenge faced by plants, and they have evolved various defense mechanisms to protect themselves from herbivores. Understanding these defense mechanisms is crucial for developing effective strategies for pest management and crop protection. In this study, we will analyze the biochemical and molecular responses of plants to herbivory, including the production of defensive compounds, changes in gene expression, and activation of signaling pathways. By elucidating the mechanisms underlying plant defense against herbivory, this research will contribute to our knowledge of plant-herbivore interactions and provide insights into developing sustainable pest control strategies. <br></p>
