Thesis Abstract

This research project aims to analyze the impact of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) on bank performance. M&A activities have become increasingly common in the banking industry, driven by the need for consolidation, market expansion, and cost synergies. However, the effects of M&A on bank performance are still debated. This study will employ a quantitative research approach, utilizing financial data from pre- and post-merger periods to assess the impact on key performance indicators such as profitability, efficiency, and asset quality. The findings of this research will contribute to the existing literature on M&A in the banking sector and provide insights for bank executives, regulators, and investors.
