Abstract
Football academies play a crucial role in talent development and sports education. The evaluation of the football academy building at Federal Polytechnic Oko campus aims to assess the facility's infrastructure, functionality, and impact on student-athletes. This study utilizes a mixed-methods approach, combining both quantitative and qualitative data collection methods to provide a comprehensive analysis. The quantitative aspect involves surveying the student-athletes, coaches, and staff members to gather information on their satisfaction levels, perceived benefits, and suggestions for improvement. Additionally, facility inspections will be conducted to assess the building's structural integrity, maintenance status, and compliance with safety standards. Qualitative data will be gathered through interviews and focus group discussions with key stakeholders such as academy managers, trainers, and sports administrators. These interviews will delve deeper into the perceived strengths and weaknesses of the facility, as well as the challenges faced in its operation and management. The evaluation will also consider the academy's impact on student-athletes' academic performance, physical well-being, and overall personal development. By examining factors such as training quality, coaching effectiveness, and support services available to the athletes, this study aims to provide insights into how the academy contributes to the holistic development of its participants. Furthermore, the evaluation will assess the academy's alignment with national sports development goals and guidelines, as well as its potential for fostering talent identification and nurturing in the region. Recommendations for improving the facility's infrastructure, programs, and management practices will be provided based on the findings of this evaluation. Overall, this research seeks to contribute valuable insights into the functioning and effectiveness of the football academy building at Federal Polytechnic Oko campus. By examining both quantitative and qualitative data, this evaluation aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the facility's impact on student-athletes and its role in promoting sports development and talent cultivation in the region.

Thesis Overview

1.1   BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY

The Academy of football or just The academy is a nickname of English football club westham United. The pays homage to the success of the club in coaching talented younger players. The title, originally attributed to the club by the club and is displayed in several prominent place around the stadium such as being printed beside the club crest on the artificial surface surround the pitch at upton park.

1.2   STATEMENT OF THE RESEARCH PROBLEM

• Due to the complaint from both staffs and students regarding to football academy there is need to build football academy building.
• To determine proper location for easily accesses.
• To provide adequate space that will accommodate both staffs, football and some necessary facilities.

1.3   AIM AND OBJECTIVES

 

1. To determine a suitable location for football academy building.
2. To design the football academy building.

iii. To establish comfortable spaces in Federal Polytechnic football academy building.

1.4   SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY

The findings of the study will significantly contribute to the design for football academy building in Federal Polytechnic Oko.

The study will also provide a suitable location for the football academy building, for easy access for student and staffs.

1.5   SCOPE OF THE STUDY

• This study is made to evaluate the location, design and space of football academy in federal polytechnic oko.It covered only football academy in Federal Polytechnic Oko not at Atani campus.

1.6   LIMITATION OF THE STUDY

The following limitations are inherent in the study

1. They were no register to access.
2. There were no much interesting students so; they find it difficult to accept the questionnaire from the researcher.
