Abstract
The provision of adequate housing for low-income populations in urban areas has become a pressing global challenge. This thesis addresses the design and implementation of sustainable low-income housing solutions in urban areas, focusing on the integration of environmentally-friendly practices and community engagement strategies. The research explores the current state of low-income housing in urban areas, identifies key challenges and opportunities, and presents a framework for sustainable housing design and implementation. Chapter 1 provides an introduction to the study, including background information on the topic, the problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure, and definitions of key terms. Chapter 2 presents a comprehensive literature review, covering ten key areas related to sustainable low-income housing solutions in urban areas. Chapter 3 outlines the research methodology, including research design, data collection methods, sampling techniques, data analysis approaches, ethical considerations, and limitations of the study.
