This thesis explores the revitalization of abandoned urban spaces through adaptive reuse within the realm of sustainable architecture. By repurposing existing structures for new functions, adaptive reuse offers a sustainable solution to urban blight while preserving the historical and cultural significance of these spaces. This study investigates the potential of adaptive reuse as a strategy for sustainable urban development, focusing on the transformation of abandoned spaces into vibrant, functional environments. Chapter 1 provides an introduction to the research topic, outlining the background, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the thesis, and definitions of key terms.
