The concept of biophilic design has gained significant attention in the field of architecture due to its potential to enhance human well-being by integrating nature into urban environments. This thesis explores the application of biophilic design principles in urban settings and investigates the impact of such design strategies on human health and well-being. The study aims to provide insights into how incorporating elements of nature in architecture can contribute to creating healthier and more sustainable urban environments. Chapter 1 introduces the research topic, providing background information on biophilic design and its relevance in urban contexts. The problem statement highlights the need for incorporating nature in architecture to address the challenges posed by urbanization. The objectives of the study are outlined to guide the research process, while the limitations and scope of the study are also discussed. The significance of the study is emphasized, and the structure of the thesis is presented to provide an overview of the content. Lastly, key terms are defined to establish a common understanding of the concepts discussed in the thesis.
