The symbiotic relationship between archaeology and tourism has long been acknowledged, with archaeological sites serving as key attractions for tourists while simultaneously benefiting from the economic influx brought by tourism. This thesis delves into the intricate dynamics of this relationship, focusing on how archaeological sites influence tourism development. Through a case study approach, the research aims to provide a comprehensive analysis of the impact of archaeological sites on tourism, exploring various dimensions such as cultural significance, visitor experiences, economic implications, and sustainable management practices. Chapter 1 sets the stage for the study by introducing the research topic and elucidating the background within which it is situated. The chapter also presents the problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance of the study, and defines key terms essential for understanding the subsequent chapters.
