The relationship between archaeology and tourism has garnered significant attention in recent years as archaeological sites have increasingly become key attractions for tourists worldwide. This thesis explores "The Impact of Archaeological Sites on Tourism Development in a Selected Region," aiming to understand how these ancient sites contribute to tourism growth and local socio-economic development. The study focuses on a specific region renowned for its rich archaeological heritage, investigating the interplay between archaeological preservation efforts, tourism infrastructure, visitor experiences, and economic benefits. Chapter 1 lays the foundation for the research, providing an introduction to the study, background information on the topic, the problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the thesis, and definitions of key terms.
