Thesis Abstract

This research project aims to investigate the potential of virtual reality (VR) in enhancing archaeological tourism experiences. Virtual reality technology has the ability to recreate archaeological sites and artifacts in a highly immersive and interactive manner. This study will explore the impact of VR on tourist engagement, learning outcomes, and overall satisfaction with archaeological tourism experiences. It will examine the effectiveness of VR in conveying historical and cultural information, the challenges and limitations of VR implementation, and the preferences and attitudes of tourists towards VR-enhanced experiences. The findings of this research will provide valuable insights into the use of VR as a tool for enhancing archaeological tourism and contribute to the development of innovative visitor engagement strategies.
