Thesis Abstract

This research project aims to analyze the role of archaeology in promoting community engagement in tourism. Archaeological sites are often located within or near local communities, presenting opportunities for community involvement in tourism development and management. This study will examine the various ways in which archaeology can be used as a tool for community engagement, including community-based tourism initiatives, cultural heritage interpretation, and economic empowerment. It will also explore the benefits and challenges associated with community engagement in archaeological tourism. The findings of this research will contribute to the understanding of how archaeology can foster sustainable community development through tourism.
