Thesis Abstract

Abstract
The poultry industry plays a crucial role in meeting the global demand for animal protein, with broiler chickens being a significant source of meat consumption worldwide. The growth performance of broiler chickens is influenced by various factors, with feeding strategies being a key determinant. This study aimed to investigate the effects of different feeding strategies on the growth performance of broiler chickens. The research was conducted over a period of six months, involving a sample of 300 broiler chickens raised under controlled conditions. The study utilized a randomized complete block design to assign the chickens to three different feeding strategies a conventional diet, an organic diet, and a diet supplemented with probiotics. The growth performance parameters assessed included body weight gain, feed conversion ratio, and mortality rate. The findings revealed significant differences in the growth performance of broiler chickens among the three feeding strategies. Chickens fed with the organic diet exhibited the highest body weight gain, followed by those on the probiotics-supplemented diet, while the conventional diet group had the lowest growth performance. Additionally, the feed conversion ratio was most efficient in the organic diet group, indicating better utilization of feed resources. However, no significant differences were observed in the mortality rates among the three feeding strategies. Further analysis of the data indicated that the differences in growth performance could be attributed to the quality of nutrients and additives present in the respective diets. The organic diet, being free from synthetic chemicals and pesticides, may have contributed to the superior growth observed in those chickens. Similarly, the probiotics supplementation appeared to enhance nutrient absorption and gut health, leading to improved growth efficiency. The study also considered factors such as cost-effectiveness, environmental sustainability, and potential implications for the poultry industry. While organic diets and probiotics supplementation showed promising results in enhancing growth performance, considerations such as production costs and market demand need to be evaluated for practical implementation. In conclusion, this research highlights the significant impact of different feeding strategies on the growth performance of broiler chickens. The findings underscore the importance of dietary composition and additives in optimizing broiler production efficiency. Further research is recommended to explore additional feeding strategies and their long-term effects on broiler health and productivity.
