Abstract
The poultry industry plays a crucial role in meeting the growing demand for high-quality protein sources worldwide. In this context, the growth performance of broiler chickens is of utmost importance to ensure efficient production and economic viability. The present study aimed to investigate the effect of dietary supplements on the growth performance of broiler chickens. The research was conducted using a randomized controlled trial design, with a total of 200 broiler chickens allocated to four dietary treatment groups. The dietary supplements included in the study were vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and probiotics, which are known to have potential benefits for growth performance in poultry. The growth performance parameters assessed included body weight gain, feed intake, feed conversion ratio, and mortality rate. The results of the study revealed that dietary supplementation had a significant impact on the growth performance of broiler chickens. Chickens that received the supplemented diets showed improved growth performance compared to those on the control diet. Specifically, the supplemented groups exhibited higher body weight gain, lower feed conversion ratio, and reduced mortality rate. In addition to the growth performance parameters, the study also evaluated the economic implications of dietary supplementation in broiler production. Cost-benefit analysis demonstrated that the use of dietary supplements led to increased profitability due to improved growth performance and reduced mortality. Overall, the findings of this study highlight the potential benefits of dietary supplements in enhancing the growth performance of broiler chickens. These results have important implications for the poultry industry, providing valuable insights into strategies for optimizing production efficiency and profitability. Further research is warranted to explore additional dietary supplements and their effects on broiler performance under different environmental conditions and production systems.
