Abstract
The poultry industry plays a crucial role in meeting the increasing demand for animal protein worldwide. Enhancing the growth performance of broiler chickens is essential to ensure efficient production and meet consumer needs. This study investigates the effects of dietary supplements on the growth performance of broiler chickens. Chapter one provides an introduction to the research, presenting the background of the study, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the thesis, and definitions of key terms. Chapter two presents a comprehensive literature review, examining previous studies on dietary supplements and their impact on broiler chicken growth performance. Chapter three details the research methodology, including the research design, sampling techniques, data collection methods, and statistical analysis approaches. It also discusses ethical considerations, data validation, and reliability measures. Chapter four presents an in-depth discussion of the findings, analyzing the effects of various dietary supplements on parameters such as body weight gain, feed conversion ratio, and mortality rate in broiler chickens. The results are compared with existing literature to draw meaningful conclusions. The conclusion and summary in chapter five highlight the key findings of the study, discussing the implications for the poultry industry and suggesting areas for further research. Overall, this thesis contributes to the understanding of how dietary supplements can positively influence the growth performance of broiler chickens, thereby enhancing productivity and profitability in the poultry sector.
