Thesis Abstract

<p>The welfare of laboratory animals is of utmost importance to ensure accurate research outcomes and ethical treatment. Handling techniques play a crucial role in minimizing stress levels in laboratory animals, as stress can have significant physiological and behavioral effects that may confound experimental results. This project aims to assess the impact of different handling techniques on stress levels in laboratory animals. By comparing various handling methods, including gentle handling, tunnel handling, and glove handling, this study will provide valuable insights into the most effective and least stressful techniques for handling laboratory animals. The findings of this research will contribute to the development of guidelines and best practices for animal handling in laboratory settings, ultimately improving the welfare and reliability of research involving laboratory animals. </p>
