Thesis Abstract

The welfare of animals in captivity is a growing concern, and providing appropriate environmental enrichment is crucial for promoting their well-being. This project aims to assess the impact of different environmental enrichment strategies on animal welfare. By evaluating various enrichment techniques, including physical, social, and cognitive stimulation, this study seeks to determine the most effective methods for enhancing the welfare of captive animals. The research will involve observing behavioral responses, physiological indicators, and overall welfare assessments in animals subjected to different enrichment treatments. The findings of this study will contribute to the development of evidence-based guidelines for implementing effective environmental enrichment strategies in captive animal facilities.
