Thesis Abstract

The aim of this research project is to assess the role of genetics in improving animal productivity. Animal productivity is a crucial factor in livestock and poultry industries, as it directly impacts profitability and sustainability. Genetic factors play a significant role in determining various traits related to productivity, such as growth rate, feed efficiency, disease resistance, and reproductive performance. Understanding the genetic basis of these traits can help in the development of breeding strategies and selection programs to enhance animal productivity. This project will involve a comprehensive review of existing literature, data analysis, and evaluation of genetic markers associated with productivity traits. The findings of this study will contribute to the knowledge base in animal science and provide insights into the potential for genetic improvement in animal productivity.
