Abstract
This thesis aims to assess the impact of mobile technology on agricultural extension services in rural communities. With the rapid advancement of mobile technology in recent years, there is a growing interest in leveraging its potential to enhance agricultural extension services and improve the livelihoods of farmers in rural areas. This study will investigate how the adoption and use of mobile technology have influenced the delivery of agricultural extension services, knowledge dissemination, and overall agricultural productivity in rural communities. The research methodology will involve a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews with key stakeholders, including farmers, extension workers, and technology providers. The data collected will be analyzed to identify the key factors influencing the adoption and use of mobile technology in agricultural extension services, as well as the outcomes and impacts of this technology on rural communities. The literature review will explore existing studies on the use of mobile technology in agricultural extension services, highlighting best practices, challenges, and opportunities for improvement. It will also examine theoretical frameworks and models that can guide the evaluation of the impact of mobile technology on agricultural extension services.
