Abstract
This thesis explores the potential of utilizing mobile technology to enhance agricultural extension services in rural communities. The adoption of mobile technology in agriculture has the capacity to revolutionize the way information is disseminated, training is provided, and communication is facilitated between extension workers and farmers. The study investigates the current challenges faced by agricultural extension services in rural areas, particularly in terms of accessibility, timeliness, and effectiveness. By leveraging mobile technology, these challenges can be addressed to improve the overall efficiency and impact of extension services. The research methodology employed in this study includes a combination of qualitative and quantitative approaches. Data collection techniques such as surveys, interviews, and focus group discussions are utilized to gather insights from extension workers, farmers, and other relevant stakeholders. The literature review section provides a comprehensive analysis of existing studies and theories related to mobile technology adoption in agriculture and agricultural extension services. The findings of the study reveal the potential benefits of integrating mobile technology into agricultural extension services, including increased reach, improved communication, enhanced knowledge sharing, and better decision-making.
