This thesis explores the utilization of mobile technology to enhance agricultural extension services in rural communities. The increasing penetration of mobile phones in rural areas presents a unique opportunity to bridge the information gap and improve the dissemination of agricultural knowledge and practices. The study investigates the potential of mobile technology in facilitating communication between extension agents and farmers, enabling timely access to crucial information, and promoting sustainable agricultural practices. The research begins with an introduction that outlines the background of the study, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, and structure of the thesis. A comprehensive review of relevant literature is presented in Chapter Two, covering topics such as the role of agricultural extension services, the impact of mobile technology in rural development, and previous studies on mobile-based agricultural interventions. Chapter Three details the research methodology employed, including the research design, data collection methods, sampling techniques, and data analysis procedures.
