Abstract
The integration of technology in educational settings has become increasingly prevalent, with its potential to enhance learning experiences and outcomes. This thesis examines the impact of technology integration on adult learning within vocational education programs. The study investigates how the incorporation of technology tools and resources influences the teaching and learning processes, as well as the overall learning outcomes in vocational education for adult learners. Through a comprehensive review of existing literature, this research explores the theoretical foundations and empirical evidence related to technology integration in adult education. The research methodology employed in this study involves a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative analysis of survey data and qualitative examination of interviews with adult learners and educators. The data collection process includes surveys distributed to a sample of adult learners enrolled in vocational education programs that incorporate technology, as well as interviews conducted with instructors and program administrators. The findings from these data collection activities are analyzed to uncover insights into the perceived benefits, challenges, and effectiveness of technology integration in adult education. The results of this study reveal a range of impacts associated with the integration of technology in vocational education programs for adult learners. Positive outcomes include increased engagement, motivation, and knowledge retention among adult learners, as well as improved instructional practices and resource accessibility for educators. However, challenges related to technological barriers, digital literacy skills, and instructional design issues are also identified as potential obstacles to effective technology integration. The implications of these findings are discussed in the context of enhancing adult learning experiences and outcomes within vocational education programs through strategic technology integration. Recommendations for educators, program administrators, policymakers, and future research directions are provided to support the effective implementation of technology-enhanced learning initiatives in adult education settings. Overall, this thesis contributes to the ongoing discourse on technology integration in adult education, offering valuable insights into the impact of technological advancements on teaching and learning practices within vocational education programs.
