Thesis Abstract

<p>Environmental awareness is crucial in addressing the pressing challenges of climate change, resource depletion, and environmental degradation. Adult education plays a significant role in promoting environmental awareness and empowering individuals to make sustainable choices in their personal lives, communities, and workplaces. This research project aims to investigate the impact of adult education on promoting environmental awareness and explore the effectiveness of environmental education programs in fostering sustainable behaviors and attitudes among adult learners.<br><br>The research will begin with a comprehensive literature review to examine the conceptual framework of environmental awareness and its significance in the context of adult education. It will analyze existing adult education programs and initiatives that focus on environmental education to identify best practices and challenges.<br><br>The research methodology will involve a mixed-methods approach. Quantitative data will be collected through surveys and assessments to measure the level of environmental awareness, knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors of adult learners before and after participating in environmental education programs. Qualitative data will be gathered through interviews and focus groups to gain insights into the experiences and perceptions of adult learners regarding the impact of environmental education on their environmental consciousness and actions.<br><br>The findings of this research will contribute to the existing knowledge on the impact of adult education on promoting environmental awareness. It will provide valuable insights for educators, policymakers, and program developers in designing and implementing effective environmental education programs that address the specific needs and challenges of adult learners. Ultimately, this research aims to enhance the understanding and implementation of adult education as a means to promote environmental sustainability and empower individuals to become active agents of positive change in their communities and beyond.<br></p>
