Abstract
The research project focuses on exploring the impact of social media on mental health among adolescents. The study aims to investigate how social media usage patterns, such as time spent online, content viewed, and interaction with others, influence the mental well-being of young individuals. The research will employ a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative surveys with qualitative interviews to gather comprehensive data on the subject. The quantitative surveys will assess social media usage habits and mental health indicators among a sample of adolescents, while the qualitative interviews will provide in-depth insights into the lived experiences and perceptions of the participants. By analyzing the data collected, the research seeks to identify correlations between social media usage and mental health outcomes, such as anxiety, depression, and self-esteem issues. Additionally, the qualitative data will offer a nuanced understanding of the ways in which social media impacts the emotional and psychological well-being of adolescents.
