This study explores the impact of social media on mental health among adolescents. With the widespread use of social media platforms among young people, concerns have been raised regarding the potential negative effects on mental well-being. The research aims to investigate how various aspects of social media usage, such as time spent online, types of content viewed, and interactions with others, may influence mental health outcomes. A mixed-methods approach will be employed, including surveys to gather quantitative data on social media habits and mental health indicators, as well as interviews to provide in-depth insights into the subjective experiences of adolescents. The study will also examine potential moderating factors, such as age, gender, and pre-existing mental health conditions, to better understand the complex relationship between social media and mental well-being. Findings from this research can inform strategies for promoting healthy social media use among adolescents and provide insights for mental health professionals working with young individuals in the digital age.
