Abstract
Federal parastatals play a crucial role in the economic and social development of a country. These entities are established by the government to undertake various functions such as regulatory activities, service provision, and commercial ventures. However, the issue of funding federal parastatals has been a subject of debate and concern due to the implications it has on their operations and effectiveness. This research project aims to explore the funding mechanisms of federal parastatals, examining the sources of revenue, budgetary allocations, and financial management practices. The study will analyze the challenges faced by federal parastatals in securing adequate funding to carry out their mandates effectively. By conducting a thorough review of existing literature and utilizing a case study approach, the research will provide insights into the funding issues confronting federal parastatals.
