This research explores the specific functions and importance of internal audit within organizations. Internal auditors are responsible for evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, identifying areas of improvement, and ensuring compliance with regulations and policies. By conducting regular audits, internal audit functions help organizations identify and mitigate risks, improve operational efficiency, and enhance the overall governance structure.
