The study underscores the importance of integrating peacebuilding principles into accounting education and training programs. By incorporating topics such as ethics, conflict resolution, and social responsibility into the accounting curriculum, future accountants can develop a holistic understanding of their role in promoting peace and development in Nigeria. Moreover, collaboration between accounting professionals, policymakers, and civil society organizations is vital for creating an enabling environment for sustainable economic growth and peacebuilding initiatives. In conclusion, accounting plays a critical role in advancing peace and economic development in Nigeria. Transparent financial reporting, ethical conduct, and professional integrity are key factors that contribute to a stable business environment and attract investment.
